Dear Father

Today we give you to mother earth,
And we pray
You may be like the gentle feather
You may ride with the winds
You may spread as circles in the water
You may feel the warmth of the sun
And be one with all beings

Today we let you go
Grateful for our existence
Thankful for all moments we shared
Loving the father you were
Knowing you’ll always live on in each one of us
Honoring your divine soul

Today we call upon our ancestors
We especially call upon Freddie
We call upon the winds from the east, the south, the west and the north
We call upon mother earth, father sun and Great Spirit
To hear our prayer
To bless you on your journey

Today you will be free
To travel with father sun high upon the sky
To be carried by the stars
To let you’re eternal flame always be
To share your warmth with all beings
To shine your light upon our mother earth
To be one with Great Spirit
Today and all tomorrows to come

Today we say
Dear father
Farewell
